New Cycle, New Design & New Process!

The 2019 baseball season will kick-off a new two-year travel uniform cycle, and we are excited to move to a new package model for travel uniforms. These uniforms are for players ages 10-14 playing on a tournament or travel baseball team. Younger players, non-Tourney 10s, all 9s and 15YOs can disregard this information.

Historically, a jersey top and one baseball hat have been included in registration fees, ordered by OBA. Parents were responsible for purchasing pants through online store. Teams/parents were responsible for ordering alternate shirts and hats offline. This led to inefficiencies in distribution as well as inconsistencies across all Orono Travel Baseball teams.


In year one of the 2019-2020 uniform cycle, parents will purchase a full uniform package that includes: two Under Armor jersey tops, two hats and one pair of Under Armor pants. OBA will host two uniform fitting/ordering days (see below). For this first cycle, the order process will be handled offline to ensure every player’s uniform is accounted for and ordered in a timely manner. Uniform order at a fitting day is mandatory to ensure all size selections are confirmed by player and parent.  In year two, the full package will be available to order for all new players to the program, and all items will be available to order a la carte for returning players that may have outgrown a certain piece.

Uniform ordering will not be available after team formation. All players that are registering for tournament or travel baseball should order the uniform package at one of the dates listed below. If a player is not placed on a team, OBA will issue a refund for the uniform purchase.

Cost Impact
  • Existing uniform costs will be removed from registration. Thus, parents will notice lower registration fees this year!
  • Parents will purchase the entire uniform package separately at one of the fitting days below. The package costs $155.
  • Across the two-year cycle, the net cost per year with baseball fees and uniforms is less than last year!
Appearance Impact
  • Every travel baseball player will have the same selection of jerseys and hats to mix and match as a team.
  • All players will have same pants.
  • Both knickers and full-length pants are available in the package.
  • Navy belts and navy socks will be available for additional purchase.
Jersey Number Selection
  • OBA will make every effort to honor jersey numbers of returning travel players, but it is not guaranteed.
  • Preferred jersey numbers (top 3) will be collected on the uniform order form. Preferences will be honored first-come/first-serve.
  • Order uniform at Feb 3 Fitting to prioritize your number preferences.
Order Process
  • Player AND Parent must attend one of the two uniform fitting days (listed below).
  • At fitting day, order form and payment must be turned in.
  • Check/cash or credit card accepted to Orono Baseball.
  • Uniform orders will be shipped to your home ($8).
Two fitting days:

If you know you are playing baseball, please make every effort to come to first uniform fitting and order the package. You do not have to be registered for baseball prior to ordering the uniforms. We’d like to get as many confirmed sizes as early as possible for inventory & shipping purposes.

    • We recommend doing sizing after your player’s tryout, so he does not feel rushed or add to any pre-tryout jitters he may have.
